Terms of Service
Last updated June 4, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Bossy. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Bossy is operated by Bossy LLC ("Bossy", "we", "us").
1. Who may agree to these Terms
Bossy is a business-to-business product. If you accept these Terms on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business (the "Customer"), and "you" refers to that business. The administrator who creates the account binds the organization and is responsible for its users.
2. Accounts and users
The Customer is responsible for its account, for the activity of its users, for keeping login credentials secure, and for ensuring its users comply with these Terms. The Customer is responsible for obtaining any consents required to add its workers and to process their data in Bossy (the Customer is the controller of that data; see our Privacy Policy).
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Bossy to violate any law or the rights of others;
- upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our systems;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without our written permission, or circumvent security or rate limits;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties except as permitted;
- use the service to send unlawful messages or to harass or surveil individuals unlawfully.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
4. Plans, billing, and auto-renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly unless otherwise stated). Subscriptions automatically renew for the same term until cancelled. You authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your payment method for each renewal.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then. For customers in jurisdictions with automatic-renewal laws (including California's Automatic Renewal Law), you may cancel by the same means you used to subscribe, or by contacting support@bossyhq.com.
Changes. We may change prices or plan features on a prospective basis, with notice before the change takes effect for your next renewal.
Taxes. Fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for where applicable.
Refunds. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you and your users put into Bossy. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide and improve the service. You are responsible for the content and for your right to use it.
6. Service availability and changes
We work to keep Bossy available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features; we will not materially reduce core functionality of a paid plan during a paid term without notice.
7. Termination
You may stop using Bossy and delete your account at any time (see Account Deletion & Data Requests). We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or to comply with law. On termination, your right to use the service ends and customer content is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Sacramento Superior Court (Sacramento County, California) for any dispute not subject to other agreed dispute-resolution terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
